Mudbox 003

The second one was what I did in Mudbox on the basemesh created in Maya. The first one is the displacement map in Maya. Started with a very plane basic mesh.

Love Mudbox. I really think this is one of the best sculpturing program. I created a base mesh in Maya and then modify that in Mudbox. Worth to get up early this morning. No paintover this time, just a clean direct view from Mudbox.

First time using Mudbox. Modeled that and then painted over in PS. Will do more Mudbox stuff in future. Really fun.

Here's my personal stuff.
Concept: He's a lighting guy, he can produce electricity by his inner body system. One useful power of him is that he can heat up the environment surrounding him.

More digital painting study are coming. I am gonna do painting study as much as I can during this March Break holidays.
I also think that studying like that can make my painting skill stronger.

Another painting study I did yesterday. Used the photo reference. But this is not exactly the same as in the photo, because the sculpture like this is involved lot of detail and lighting, if I want to make it exactly the same, I would need to spend at least 3 or 4 days. Anyway, this one is pretty quick, like one hour something.
