Character Design 3

I think this time I should show some character designs that have been successful entry for Digital Animation program that I will be doing in coming September.
Those are hero characters. I painted them in Photoshop 7.0 with just a mouse. I didn’t have a tablet at that time yet.

Illustration 1

I painted above images in Illustrator CS 2. I think that using Illustrator software is more technical and functional. It's not easy if you don't know the basic tool like how to use pen tool or masking or something like that. I didn't know first too, but I do practise as much as I can. The second one has no sketch, it's simple and just need to put effect on polar grid pictures. The girl and the flower is different, I drew the sketch first in my sketch book, and then brought it to Illustrator for painting. Of course, it took time for me to finish. I think more than 3 hours for that. I like the final result. You might see those pictures in Myanmar Graphic Forum Illustrator tutorial section. I posted there at least a little help for beginners.

It's boring without working in summer. Still chasing for one. Bizarre creatures are presented. I still have to paint more till the colors correct.

To The Final Critic (Last day at the College for ADFS program)

My school Final Critic will be on tomorrow. I will be presenting my portfolio at 10 am with other 6 or 7 students. Every student will receive 5% for the critic so it’s like free mark because it’s like you just need to be there with your stuff and they don’t give you any grade on it. I think I am going to be alright. I have tons of images if I compile stuff from first semester. I am improved a lot in second semester.
Anyway, I am very happy as my favorite soccer team Manchester United beat AC Milan with 3-2 at OF. That’s great that they won rather than having a draw.
The images I am showing here is that my new scanner (well, the guy from the store pushed me to buy this 2 in 1 like scanner and printer go together), my new tablet (the old one was broken, so I went to the store and exchange it), my new portfolio case (which I will bring it on tomorrow to Final Critic), and my new bag pack (which I bought few days ago, it looks good).

Digital Sketches 2

Thanks for dropping on here, Ma Hana. The semester is almost over. I have to finish all the assignments so I am really busy.
One minute final movie assignment for Time Based Media Course gives me headache as I do not really know who to do for that. Can anyone suggest me anything? Lol. Anyway, I post two images done that on my computer using Photoshop CS2 with tablet. I like them. Robot has the action, and Female head animal gives me the smile. I need to polish them when I have time. I am also thinking about my summer job. Whew!

Digital Sketches

I haven’t posted here for a week or so. I was busy with preparing for the presentation, making up group project short video with Marko and Samuel, and doing poster assignment. Now everything’s done so I can post here. Although I was busy, I sketched every night on the computer.
So now, I present some sketches done on computer using tablet, which are a creature, a monster, and a robot rabbit. The purpose of drawing creature is for 3D class Independent Study proposal. I will do sculpture of monster so I did some sketches and that’s the one. Monster and robot rabbit are for DSG at concept art forum. I really like my latest work robot rabbit because of color management, character style, and shading.
I am also planning to post my life drawing stuff at www.my.flashband.net/tmyohlaing. By the way, http://www.mmgraphiclover.net.tc/ is the forum where Myanmar people can enjoy presenting their art works, and sharing information and knowledge about art. Not too many people there yet, so if you come across to my blog and read about that, go there and post something. They will appreciate you.
